Get a bowl of freezing water, and put your nails in for about 3 minutes after painting them. And try to use thin coats, and make sure each coat is thoroughly dried before adding another one.
Also, regardless of what the label says it is -like those ones that say they're a base coat, color, and top coat all in one(these are complete BS)- just take the extra few minutes to slap on a proper top coat. It's worth it.
Remember to take care of your cuticles and the filing before polishing up.
